Making music in general, and learning to play an instrument, is good for the developement of the brain and benificial for you as a person. It asks for perseverance and it teaches you to deal with the mistakes you need to make in order to learn something. Besides: making music is huge fun! It is really rewarding to learn new songs, and to notice that you get a better player every day that you spend time with your instrument.
If you can join up with others it’s even sweeter: to be able to build something together in sound which you can never achieve on your own; where you have to listen to others and vice versa. Playing together gives many pupils a positive boost!
